Textures. They are not hard. Especially not stylized ones like this. More realistic ones, those take some time. Those are the ones where you go in with a little 1 pixel brush and just torture yourself.

These kinds do not require torture.

I make my own. These ones here are made from boiled coffee grounds splattered over a piece of printer paper. It smelled terrible and I don't think my roommates were pleased with me that day.

Anyway. I used a similar method to what's been explained in this tut to create [link] <--textures on his clothing.

WHEN I SAY SIMILAR METHOD.... I mean I did something long and complicated to get the same effect in the end. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT CLIPPING MASKS WERE WHEN I DID THAT LULZ.

They're good for cartoons and stuff, I wouldn't suggest using a method like this if your going for something more realistic because it'll look like crap and be all obvious and give somebody who knows what they're looking at an image of in their head because texturing like this doesn't have it follow the form. You know what I mean. *fail*

I DON'T KNOW EXPERIMENT LEARN WHAT WORKS AND HAVE FUN. This is just how I do it that I've found works best for me.
